Decision-makers are required to evaluate environmental concerns before a commitment can be made to implement a project. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is required for projects above the thresholds set out in Council Directive 85/337/EEC as amended by Directive 97/11/EC, and also for some sub-threshold projects where there is a potential for significant impact. The environmental assessment process assists decision makers thus ensuring that the environment is protected and that development is sustainable and effective.
Redkite Environmental personnel have extensive experience of producing EISs for planning and licensing. We can project manage EISs from screening through scoping, consultation, assessment and identification of mitigation measures to publication of the final EIS.
We achieve this through creating knowledgeable and experienced teams where required, listening to and understanding all stakeholders and establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with local planning authorities and the EPA.
We strive to understand the concerns of all stakeholders and to provide solutions that satisfy and benefit the community, environment and business.
We can project manage EISs for:
- Industrial and commercial development;
- Planning schemes;
- Infrastructural projects;
- Residential development;
- Extractive industry;
- Tourism and leisure projects.
